Hello and welcome to the website! My name is Robert Broer and I am an aspiring indie game developer situated in the Netherlands. Robronic Games is my way of bringing my creativity to the world. Today is marked as launch day and I am very excited to share with you this website, which I’ll use as a personal blog and portfolio for people to get to know me and my work.
For me it all started when I was about 15 years old and I had computer class where we had to program a simple game in GameMaker. It always stuck with me for some reason. After some years of hobbyist game development as programmer I noticed that this wasn’t just a hobby, it’s something more. I kept picking up GameMaker and after some solid years I took the next step by following HBO-ICT Game Development at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, where I still learn new things all the time. Since 2018 I’m also actively enrolling into game jams, more specifically the Global Game Jam, which our team Devious won last year as Best Student Team!
Now, almost 12 years since getting in touch with the development world, I’m proud to say I’ve done my fair share of work of my own that I wanted to bring to the world (from what I can share!). If you’re here reading this I hope you enjoy your stay and feel free to navigate the site to your heart’s content. Thanks for reading!
